Holiday entertaining can be great fun when you do it right, so here are some décor trends for this holiday season to make your celebrations shine.

White, white, white … and a bit of colour. White and silver go so well together, and this time of year even more so. Think elegance and choose one or two accent colours and stick to them. Blue and White, Orange and Brown, whichever the colours you choose, make sure they work together well.

My choice for this year is to use the traditional holiday colours of red and green in a not-so-traditional way. Combine ruby red vases with mintfrost green for a bold and modern look, accent with silver and white for a simply elegant festive look.

Flowers this time of year add a fresh feel to the décor, and always need to compliment the tone of the décor.


Red small ilex berries are seasonal, bursting with colour and perfectly complemented by white agapanthus or stephanotis. Crisp, simple and elegant, of course.

Mirrored or glass serving trays add nicely to the elegance of the evening, and modern glassware and plateware (if required) lend a subtle infusion of the décor into even the serviceware.
